Benchmark

This is a picture of a bench we walked by at the Grand Canyon. It had a lot of stuff carved into it, but this grabbed our attention. I have thought about it quite a bit since we were there. What is so special about the place? A few people have told me they thought it was just a big hole in the ground. Well... it is, but through the enlightened eyes of the heart, it is so much more. There is something about it that awakens the soul. Instead of hitting the spiritual snooze button, the soul jumps up and begins to try to communicate to the mind how great the Creator of something that enormous must be.
