blisters and scars
We finally went to see Fireproof over the weekend. I assumed it would be good and it was. It was a bit disturbing to be reminded of how I used to be(yeah right). I still have moments where I'm not the picture perfect husband (imagine that) but I thank God that He has grown me out of acting like a three year old when I don't get my way (I'll probably have to prove this since I mentioned it). If you haven't seen it, I highly encourage you to do so. There are some powerful scenes throughout the entire movie. I think my favorite was when Caleb was ranting about his wife to his dad and realized the similarities between that relationship and his relationship with God. Wow. Who would've thought? Maybe marriage is for holiness instead of happiness. (borrowed that from a book) There's a concept. Another thing I was reminded of was how it would be to have a father figure in your life to hash things out with. I have forgotten what that's like. It looked like it might be enjoyable though. Oh well...
