I was wrong. We do still use the word "Ye".
We went to the rodeo last night. My niece was one of the princess contestants, so we showed up in support for her. She didn't win, but we were proud of her anyway. I don't know what goes into all of that, but they tell me she spent a lot of time on it.
Sitting there, taking in the spectacle that is rodeo, I had the realization of how diverse the planet is. I mean just in our little area. I honestly can't figure out what would make someone want to do any of that. I'm not knocking them, I just wonder what makes 'em tick. I have hobbies, but the possibility of getting my head slammed up against a fence or a fifteen hundred pound animal stomping on me is not in the equation. Maybe I'm just a sissy. It just doesn't sound like an enjoyable time to me. Once again, to each his own, cest la vie, (some other worn out saying)... I did enjoy the steer raslin (that's how it is said). You know, when on a horse, they chase after a fairly good size steer (with horns I might add) and slide off the horse and try to take the steer down. Except the part I enjoyed is really not part of the actual outcome. I thought it was funny how the horses seemed to be liberated once the guys slid off of them. It was almost like the horses were going, "finally, see ya!" Anyway, it really is an impressive sight to see a horse running at full speed. There is something majestic about it. And I'm not even a horse kind of guy. Once again... nevermind!
