update 1

Where to begin. I don't have much time. Things are going well here, other than the internet sporadically being down. I have to keep reminding myself where I am geographically. A remote location on a different continent. The scenery is breathtaking (as is the altitude). I witnessed my first volcanic eruption last night. It probably was tame by some standards, but it was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen (or felt). We are scheduled to take a trip to the base of it on Tuesday, so stay tuned for that. I found out earlier this evening I'm responsible for the bible lesson (with no curriculum) at the VBS we are doing this week. I'm also the painting director, so the day should be fun. Not to mention I don't know anyone in my group. I'm beginning to feel I'm in over my head, but I guess that's where God wants me. It was sad to be away from my family today. I hope they understand. Love and prayers for them. Later.

You are in over your head. That's just the way God planned it - to remind you of just how much you need Him to accomplish the work that He has called you to do. He is sufficient (Ephesians 3:20). And He doesn't call the equipped; He equips the called. There you go. Keep up the good fight of faith my friend. Many prayers for you and the team! Win them to Jesus!
