Ahhh...

I tried to throw some pics up but apparently the internet in this place is incapable of doing it- maybe later. We left DC early yesterday morning and drove to Lewes (pronounced Louis), Delaware where we boarded the ferry to travel across Delaware Bay to Cape May, New Jersey. It was a nice change of pace from the chaotic schedule of the previous days. The temperature was perfect and we enjoyed walking around checking the town out. We had some fresh seafood at the Island Grill, walked down to the beach and bought some fudge, went back to the street for authentic Italian gelato (incredible!), shopped a little, then got back on the ferry for the ride back. It was raining so we stayed inside and the kids got the opportunity to play in a game show. Pretty cool. We camped in the tent for the second night at Cape Henlopen State Park. The weather was a little on the humid side but we survived. This morning we went to the beach and just played around there. Even spotted some dolphins. The waves seemed big to us (probably only about 4 or 5 feet). I don't think I would ever get tired of that sound. After leaving, we drove down through Delaware back into Maryland and eventually to Virginia which is where we are now. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of corn and soybeans along the way. There were even a few large fields of tomatoes! The Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel was impressive as well. We will stay in a motel tonight, then camp tomorrow night for our last tent night. Things have gone OK I guess. I think we are starting to get on each others' nerves though. Oh well, what are vacations for?

I thought you were home already? Funny how you can't go anywhere without looking at all the crops along the way. You'd think you grew up on a farm or something. I'm the same way. Continuing to pray for traveling grace as you near home!!

God bless,
Stacy
