Influence

Catching up with a very close friend who I haven't seen in a while, we eventually got around to talking about the Michael Jackson saga. I've been freed of some of the aggravation from last week. We can't help it if we are stupid... Anyway, the point that my friend made was interesting. He reminded me of the tumultuous relationship the Jackson children had with their father. I don't know the specifics, but from what I remember, Joe Jackson (the father) did not have a very healthy relationship with any of his kids. I'm not trying to find someone to pin all this weirdness on. Just emphasizing the importance fathers have on the development of their kids. Along the same lines is the mess with Steve McNair. I know I have addressed both of these stories recently, but think of the impact the McNair tragedy will have on his kids. It gives me a chill when I think of the weight I carry with my two. God please protect them from my screw ups.
