Downer alert...
I watched a show on Nat Geo about death row. I have always supported capital punishment. My thinking was, if you take a life, you must give yours. Seems fair, right? While watching that show, my thoughts started getting all messed up. I wasn't sure if I agreed with the view I have always held. What about grace? When is the line crossed? I'm sure families of victims may feel justified in wanting to see the person that took their loved one from them pay with their life. I probably would feel the same. I just realized it was a moment where I had to question something I had never questioned. I'm not going all soft and liberal. I just wonder where the concept of grace fits into this. And isn't murder murder?

I would say that grace is loving that person enough to share Christ with them and help them grow in the knowledge of God before they are executed for their crime. Dealing with these issues brings out the extent of my depravity. What about the homeless???
