As the date of departure to Ecuador draws closer, I've been trying to dust off the Spanish folder in my head. You really don't know how much you don't know until you try to lay a new language over your present vocabulary. (I don't know if that makes sense.) I assumed I had remembered some stuff from Mexico, but that has been two and a half years ago. Trust me, I'm on the deficient side of the equation. With all the things to take care of, it's easy to lose sight of the reason for going. I'm not quite sure what to expect, but I am excited to be going. I firmly believe God has a reason for this opportunity. As usual, I haven't figured it out yet and He is always catching me off guard. Oh, one thing I do remember- Para la gloria de Dios!
